Special Group 2027: order by night

LIESA, the league of the Special Group schools, set the order at a draw at the Cidade do Samba. Position 1 opens the night and position 4 closes it.

União de Maricá, the 2026 Série Ouro winner, makes its Special Group debut and opens the Sunday. Viradouro, the 2026 champion, parades second on Tuesday.

The official album with the 2027 sambas-enredo of the 12 Special Group schools is released on October 29, 2026 (21:00 Rio time) on all digital platforms, according to LIESA. Listening to it is an easy way to pick a night.

Série Ouro 2027: order by night

The Série Ouro is the second division, run by Liga RJ. Riotur published the order as a list without position numbers, so the numbers below follow that list.

A Série Ouro night has more schools than a Special Group night and comes before the main competition, which suits anyone who lands in Rio early in Carnival week.

How to choose your night

To see a favourite school, find it in the tables and book that night. Each school parades only once in the competition, so missing its night means waiting for the Champions Parade, and only the six best schools return on February 13.

The position matters too: a four-school night runs long, and the last school enters in the early hours. LIESA has not published the 2027 times; our Rio Carnival 2027 page shows how the 2026 nights ran.

If you already have a camarote for one night, pick a second night with a different set of schools, or use it to parade yourself. A visitor can parade in a school’s commercial wing (ala comercial) by buying a costume, and since every school parades on one night, picking the school also picks the night. Tickets by night

Every night is sold separately, and a ticket is valid for one night only. LIESA sells the Special Group nights and the Champions Parade on Ticketmaster Brasil and asks buyers to use only its official channel. The Série Ouro nights have been on sale on Ticketmaster since August 18, 2026, according to Riotur. The latest Special Group stage opened on September 10, 2026, with grandstands, Sector 12 chairs and frisas.

Limits are counted per CPF, the Brazilian taxpayer number, which most visitors do not have. Sale stages, sectors and limits are on our Sambadrome tickets page. We book seats on every night, in any seat type, and the proposal confirms which seats are available for yours.

• the 2027 start times of each night, for the Série Ouro, the Special Group and the Champions Parade;
• the sale of the popular sectors 12 and 13 by Praça da Apoteose, which LIESA says it will announce soon;
• the schools of the Champions Parade, which depend on the 2027 results.
