Brazil in February
February is Carnival month. In Rio the Special Group parades at the Sambadrome on 7, 8 and 9 February 2027, the Série Ouro on 5 and 6 February, and the Champions' Saturday is 13 February. It is also Rio's hottest month by INMET normals, with an average high of 30.2 °C.

Rio Carnival 2027 in February
Most people travel to Brazil in February for Carnival. In Rio the samba schools compete at the Sambadrome over six nights in 2027:

The Special Group line-up is as listed by LIESA. How to choose one night out of three: Rio Carnival. We book seats for any of the six nights through official channels, at face value; seat types are explained on Sambadrome tickets. You can also parade with a samba school in costume. Available seats are confirmed in the proposal, price on request.
Street blocos
The Prefeitura do Rio plans the street carnival to start on 16 January 2027 and has not given an end date, so February blocos fill the weeks around the parade nights. A guide makes the routes and schedules easier to follow, and we can arrange one.
Rio Open and other February dates
The Rio Open tennis tournament runs from 13 to 21 February 2027 at the Jockey Club Brasileiro, according to the organisers. It starts on Champions’ Saturday, so the two fit in one trip.

The north-east rainy season runs April to July (UK FCDO), so February in Salvador gets 121.2 mm against 321.6 mm in April. Florianópolis is in peak beach season with rain on about half the days. In the Pantanal, ICMBio names January and February the wettest months and recommends May to September.
